TheKennedale City Council will meet in regular session on Tuesday, January 15. A
work session starts at 5:30 pm followed by the regular monthly session at 7:00 pm. {{more: continue …}}
City
Council meetings are scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month. Meeting are open to the public. Regular
sessions include an opportunity to address the council. The meetings are held in city council chambers at Kennedale City Hall, 405 Municipal Drive, Kennedale TX 76060.?
Work Session (5:30 pm) …?In the work session, the Council discussion will included, if time allows:?
- interviews of possible candidates to serve as alternates on the Utility and Infrastructure Board;
- review the most pressing road projects – city staff has given the Council a list of roads in poor condition including Batchelor, Century Drive, Collett Sublett Road, New Hope Road, North Road, Tower Road, High Ridge Road, Kennedale Street, Pine Meadows Drive and Short Street. The city staff added 2 more to the list of ten, Spring Branch Lane and Swiney Hiett. All these road would require heavy maintenance according to staff. Top ten streets in need of repair;?
- discuss potential amendments to the budget (2018-19);
- discuss potential amendments to the city?s Comprehensive Plan;?
- discuss Global Water Fathom utility billing;?
- discuss status of the Charter Study Committee;
- and, discuss items on regular agenda.

Besides the monthly required reportings and updates (financials and investment activity) the Council will:
- consider a bid for the Danny Drive water line improvement;
- consider call for a General Election ? May 4th, 2019 for council seats #1 Rockie Gilley, #3 Sandra Lee and #5 Jan Joplin;
- consider a one year extension of an agreement with the City of Fort Worth for rabies control services and for use of animal control facilities;
- consider a bid for Crestdale sewer line improvement;
- consider the sale of property at 229 S New Hope for $4000;
- consider payment of property taxes owed by the Kennedale Arts and Culture Foundation and authorizing the reinstatement of the Foundation?s right to transact business;
- consider appointment of two alternates to the Utility and Infrastructure Board;
- and, consider a resolution in support of an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs by OM Housing, LLC for the development of The Village at Hammack Creek located at northeast corner of East Kennedale Parkway and Sublett Road.?
- This development would include 144 multi-family homes for which the housing tax credits would apply. Additionally, 16 market-rate townhomes, 31,000 square feet of retail, and 7,500 square feet of office space would be developed. The housing will be part of a gated community.? Read more @
