The Fort Worth Police Department has releasedadditional information regarding last night?s shooting that injured five

On Sunday evening, multiple Fort Worth PD
officers began to address ordinance violations witnessed at Village Creek Park,
4750 Wilbarger Street. Police say there were multiple people riding ATVs and
drinking alcohol in a city park.
Around 5:45PM, officers started using their
announcement systems to disperse a large and growing crowd. Police say there
were at least 400 attendees at the park. As multiple police officers attempted
to disperse and leave the park, gunshots rang out.
Multiple shots fired …?When the gunshots started, attendees began
fleeing in all directions. It is unknown how many gunshots were fired, but a
video of the scene indicates there were a lot.
Police officers quickly responded to the aid of
those injuries and began searching for the suspect(s) involved.
MedStar EMS paramedics were called into the scene
to tend to multiple gunshot wound victims. A total of five people were injured.
At least one of them was under 18 years of age.
Fort Worth PD?s Gang Unit is currently
investigating all aspects of the incident. No other details will be released,
citing an active investigation.
