The Kennedale elementary school had two teams and two students that did very well in this year?s SumDog Math Contest according to Delaney Principal Katina Martinez.
 
Delaney Elementary participated in the contest along with 708 other classrooms in the area and 154,731 students. One third grade team from Delaney finished in 5th place and another third grade team finished in 10th place. Aiden Morales finished #1 out of the 154,731 students while Jeevanjot Bajwa finished in 9th place.
 
The students along with teachers, Donna Biscoe and Nathan Vandergriff who were the teachers of the two winning classrooms, were reconized at the March Kennedale School Board meeting with proclamations for their achievements.

The contest offered each year is a free online program that uses math games geared to a student?s level. Scores are based on accuracy and there is a one week period that the contest runs. Classrooms enter the contest and they can see how they do against other classrooms in their school or across the area during that week.
