Board and Commission members are appointed by the City Council. Each seat has a term length of two years, and there is no limit on the number of terms a volunteer may serve. Appointments are made annually in October, and this year’s application process began on August 8 and will continue until September 11.

Current vacancies are on the following boards: (Click on board to find about responsibilities)

While there are specific vacancies, those interested are free to apply for any board on they may have an interest in serving.

Interested residents can fill out an online application anytime between August 8 and September 12. If you are interested in more than one board you will need to submit a separate application for each. All current members whose terms expire this year are also required to reapply if they wish to be considered to serve another term. Be advised that you may be considered for boards other than the ones to which you applied.

City Council will individually interview each applicant to determine where their talents may be most beneficial, and official appointments are made in October. If you have any questions about the application and appointment process, please email the City Secretary.
