Kennedale High School Senior, Austin Eggleston, All-District Co-Pitcher of the Year in 2014, has signed with Vernon College to play baseball with the Chaparrals. {{more}}The 2014 Wildcats went 20-11-1, with a 2nd place district finish, a bi-district championship and a Area qualifier.
This year, the Kennedale Wildcats have a THSB pre-season rank of #20 in Class 4A with Eggleston (.304, 7-4, 0.99) along with Jake Michener (.448, 21 RBI, 22 SB) as top players for the Wildcats.
Last year. Ausin threw a no-hitter against Fort Worth Diamond Hill Jarvis striking out 15 batters and walking none, He also had shutouts over Lake Worth,striking out 12 with just 1 hit, and Fort Worth Castleberry, striking out 8 with just 2 hits and one walk.
