Emerald Hills to host two public events this week

Fall Festival and Veteran/Family Celebration event …

 

This week Emeral Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Kennedale will be hosting two family friendly events. {{more:Read more …}}One will focus on honoring veterans and their families and the other is a festival for the community with a children’s focus.

 

National Family History Month – Honoring our Veterans

Thursday Oct. 27, 2016 ? 6pm – 7:30pm

 

In honor of National Family History Month, Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park will be hosting an event catered towards remembering our WWII Veterans and Vietnam Veterans.

 

The Memorial Park is seeking some of these Veterans to be interviewed about their experiences.

 

We will also be hosting an event at the funeral home on Thursday, October 27 at 6:00 pm. This will be a show and tell event where we encourage Veterans and their family members to come, bring artifacts from their wartime experiences and have a night to honor them for the sacrifice they gave our country.

 

Food and refreshments will be served.

2nd Annual Fall Festival

Sunday Oct 30 – 1-4 pm

For the 2nd year in a row Emerald Hills will host a fall

festival that is free and open to the public. The festival will be on Sunday,

October 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.

There will be plenty for the kids to do. Activities include pumpkin

painting, face painting, photo booth, petting zoo, bounce house, costume

contest, appearances by the Kennedale Police and Fire Department and numerous

other activities to get everyone into the Fall Spirit.

This is a come and go event so let the kids dress-up and

stop by Sunday afternoon for a little while.

Other community organizations and businesses are welcome to

set up a booth and join in (Please contact Zach Carnley at 817-572-1681).
