The City of Kennedale is looking for to fill the position of Library Director responsible for library services for the Kennedale Public Library. Applications are now being accepted through October 20. {{more}}
JOB REQUIREMENTS: This role requires a Master?s degree in Library Science or equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and abilities. The role must be familiar with the Edge System (led by the Urban Libraries Council); have a proficiency in using Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint software applications, social media and other technology for libraries. Supervisory experience and budgeting skills are also required. The successful candidate must demonstrate intrinsic motivation, high ethical and moral standards, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary $50,000 – $55,000 annually, DOQ. Member of TMRS – 7% match 2 to 1. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance provided to employee at no cost, vacation and sick time, 457 deferred compensation plan, flexible spending plan, longevity pay after one year of employment, and 12 paid holidays.
