Fernandez draws a second opponent

The final day to file for local office on Friday drew one candidate, Perry Clementi, filing for Place 5 on the Kennedale City Council. {{more:Read more … }}

While there were a number of filings for Kennedale City Council places, the Kennedale ISD Board drew no challengers for the two incumbents on the Board currently running for office.

Kennedale Board of Trustees

• Place 6 ? Shawn Ham (I)
• Place 7 ? John Hunt (I)

Kennedale City Council

• Place 1 ? Charles Overstreet (I), Rockie Gilley
• Place 3 ? Mike Walker (I), Sandra Lee
• Place 5 ? Frank Fernandez (I), Jan Joplin, Perry Clementi

Drawing for the order of names on the ballot will occur on February 23 at 2 p.m. at Kennedale City Hall.

The election date is May 6 with early voting starting April 24.
