The Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) has named its 4A All-State Academic Team for 2017. Making the grade for the classroom as well as the court were {{more: CONTINUE …}}Lady Kat Taylor Austin, Kylie Embry, Dajia Simmons and Evie Whorley.
There were 77 players from across the state named to the team this year.
Academic All-State athletes and members of the support staff of that sport must be graduating seniors; must have an overall GPA average of 94 or above for grades 9-11; and, must be of good moral character.The 2016-17 Kennedale Lady Kats continued their mastery of district play with a spotless 12-0 record plus a record breaking 33-4 season record.
