Free concert in the park Sept 16

The Kennedale Parks and Recreation Board is sponsoring a free concert in Town Center Park Saturday, September 16 from 4-8pm. {{more: Find out more … }}
 
Helping to put on the event is The Mission Store and Scout Troop 35 which serves the Kennedale area. The Scouts will be on hand to sell food as a fundraiser while The Mission Store Food Pantry, an outreach of Kennedale United Methodist Church, will be collecting can good donations.
 
 
This is a family friendly event. Bring a blanket, lay back and enjoy. The playground behind the stage is always open but watch your own kids.
 
The music begins with the country sounds of Joe

Savage and ends with the folk rock of Smokin

Jake Ferris and the Burnt Edges.

 
 

About the Kennedale Parks and Recreation Board:

The Parks and

Recreation Board advises and formulates recommendations to the City Council for

the use, improvement, and growth of parks and recreation activities within the

City. The board is also responsible for development and implementation of

community events.

Current board

members are David Deaver (Chair), Jeff Nevarez (Concert in Park coordinator),

Michael Chandler, Gary Swan and Asam Shaikh.
