Spring sport activities at KHS are full swing with several ending regular season play, others preparing for region and others sending qualifiers to state level competition. The following is a brief update. {{more: continue …}}

Powerlifting
  • Wildcat Powerlifting finished in 1st place in region on Tuesday and will be sending 6 to the state meet March 23 – Marlete Joyner, Cameron Hynson, Cameron Hanna, Micah Conner, Brandon Kiernan and Victor Garcia. A full report on the region meet will follow soon.?
  • LadyKat Powerlifting will send three girls to state next week, March 15, after finishing 4th in region last week – Rita Spirrison, Caren Pena and Julie Rico.

Soccer …

  • LadyKat Soccer remains in first place. Two games remain with Kennedale visiting Diamond Hill-Jarvis tonight and then hosting Benbrook on Tuesday, March 19. LadyKats? play at 6 p.m. each night. Tuesday night, the LadyKats defeated Dunbar 8-0.
  • Wildcat Soccer? is?one point out of first place in district play with four teams still in the fight for the top spots. The Wildcats have a big game tonight at Diamond Hill at 7:30 p.m. The Cats will finish their regular season next Tuesday at home against Benbrook also at 7:30 p.m. Earlier in the week, Kennedale defeated Dunbar 5-0.??

Baseball/Softball …

  • LadyKat Softball?is away tonight at Mineral Wells ? Varsity at 7 p.m. Next home game is next week Tuesday, March 12 vs Ranchview ? Varsity at 5:30 p.m.
  • Wildcat Baseball?is in a tournament at Midlothian Heritage this weekend and will play Godley at 3:30 p.m. today and Castleberry Saturday, March 9 12 noon. Their next home game is Tuesday, March 12 vs Ranchveiw ? game time is 7p.m. In earlier play this week, the Wildcats lost by one to Midlothian Heritage 5-4 and tied Krum 6-6.
Archery …?
  • Wildcat Archers finished in ninth place in the Texas State IBO/3D Tournament held Thursday in Belton, Texas. There were 580 archers from across the state in the competition.?
  • The National Archery in Schools Program NASP/OTP Texas State Championships are set for March 28, 2019 in Belton. Kennedale has qualified two teams for the tournament.
Anglers …?
  • KHS Anglers have five that have qualified for the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) Regional Tournament on Lake Lewisville, April 6 – Riley Bush, Ryan Hudgins, Carson Yingling, Simon Horn and Ethan Miller.
