He is survived by his wife, Ruby Preston Curry, of 63 years, Rocky Curry (Debbie), Penny Mitchell (Lee), Dusty (Jan) Curry, & Pebble Coonce. Grandkids are Mitzi Gaston, Dusty Janita Santiago, Chad Curry, Keeton Moore, Casey Curry, Kyle Moore, Drew Curry, Kendall Moore, Eli Coonce, Ethan Coonce, Jordan Coonce, Jennifer Franklin, Stoney Mitchell, and Shalee Rudzavice. He has 23 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids He has two sisters, June Waldrop (Marion) of Arkansas and Dorothy Houston (A.J.) of Kennedale and an immeasurable number of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, D. H. and Odessa Curry, sister, Loretta Cross, and brother, Glen Curry.

Funeral service for Garland were held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00AM at Life Fellowship Church in Kennedale with interment followed at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Family received friends for visitation Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.?
