In a report to the KISD Board of Trustees last week, Principal Katina Martinez said that James F. Delaney Elementary had a good opening, reporting an enrollment of 713 students. {{more: Read more …}}This is an increase of 20 from the first week of last year.
{{t2:Martinez:}} said, ?[It was a] very busy start to the new school year. No major bumps. Everyone on the faculty and staff did an awesome of helping out where they were needed.?
Martinez also reported that the school had 531 visitors for the Meet the Teacher Night on August 18, the week before classes started.
The first Curriculum Nights have been scheduled for the parents on
- August 30th for 2nd Grade, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten at 6pm;
- September 1st for 1st, 3nd and 4th grades (3rd grade will meet at 5:30 pm and 1st & 4th at 6pm.
James Delaney 4th graders will also be joining the 4th grade from Patterson Elementary in the Spirit line at the Wildcats first football game of the season on September 2nd at Kennedale High School.
