Daniels?s single is called ?Eulogy.? She described it to the Kennedale News as ?kind of an unconventional breakup song that’s pretty much based around your last words to your significant other. I love it because although it sounds like such a dark song, there’s a silver lining – that is you’re better off without the person. You’re okay.? See announcement @ Eulogy

Her journey ?

Britney Zurovetz graduated in 2009 from Kennedale High School and went on to University of North Texas. It was while she was there that she lost her father who was a Forest Hill Police officer who died in the line of duty in 2010. She went on to receive a BA in Radio, TV & Film specializing in Radio/Audio.

In an email to the Kennedale News, Britney credited her father as pushing her to pursue my dreams of music saying, ?and for that I’m still going, and I just want to make him proud while doing what I know he would have wanted for me to do- what I love and what I’m passionate about.?

As part of her UNT degree requirements, she then landed an internship at Cumulus Media Networks in Dallas. Daniels said that she was ?working alongside some of the most kind and encouraging people I’ve ever met in this industry. I already knew that I was going to be making the move to Nashville, but they poured so much knowledge into me regarding the radio programming side that I really wanted to learn the label side of the industry also.?

Her next move was to Nashville with the help of one of ?my awesome radio professors at UNT? who knew one of the radio representatives for a large independent record label in Nashville. She was able to get a Skype interview and was offered an internship within 3 days. She interned at BBR Music group (home to artists like Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Thompson Square, Joe Nichols, Randy Houser, Parmalee, etc.).

?I learned so much at BBR, met some of the most kind people in Nashville, and it was really cool to see how things worked from both perspectives of Radio,? Daniels wrote the Kennedale News.

In addition, she also interned at a small management company, Hill Entertainment Group who represented Jana Kramer, Rodney Atkins and the Swon Brothers.

With her internships completed and her UNT degree in hand, Daniels said, ?I decided to pursue my own music fully, as this was really the only thing I could see myself doing in life.?

She had a day job at a local Nashville radio station but with the help of her first manager, she started getting attention in Nashville and Los Angeles, leading to a lot of travelling. She quit her radio job to pursue her music full time.

On advice of people in the industry, she worked with a branding/image coach and set up a professional photo shoot.

It was while she was in LA that she met the producer who was there working on a new album for the rock band 30 Seconds to Mars. It was a chance meeting in a restaurant one evening and it led to her single that was finished over the holidays.

About her Kennedale days in her own words ?

?Music was always a part of my life among other activities while I was at Kennedale. I performed in the talent shows at the High School. I was a KYA, James A Arthur Academic, KJHS, KHS JV, and KHS Varsity Cheerleader. I also played volleyball at the Junior High and freshman levels while at Kennedale. I was involved in Key Club, National Honors Society, and Choir (Girls ensemble at JAA, 8th, 9th & 10th grades).?

?Honestly everyone in Kennedale was always so supportive of my music. I remember when I was young and would record demo cd’s just to have something recorded at the time and everyone would always share their love for whatever I was doing.?

?That’s honestly one of the things I miss most about Kennedale is that it was such a tight-knit, supportive community. I still speak with some of my teachers, and they still share my new videos or announcements on social media, but it’s not just one that is supporting me, it’s many. It means the world to me. I’m so fortunate to have been a part of a community such as Kennedale.?

?If I could give a specific shout out to anyone, it would be my mom. She still resides in the Kennedale/South Arlington area, and I don’t know where I’d be without her. She is such an incredible moral guide for me while I navigate this crazy industry, and she always points me towards Christ in every circumstance. She keeps me grounded and thoughtful of what’s happening around me, and I’m so thankful for her. Also, my dad is my inspiration for a lot of my music and for chasing my dreams ? and for that I’m still going, and I just want to make him proud while doing what I know he would have wanted for me to do- what I love and what I’m passionate about.?
