Last month at Glen Rose, the KHS Wildcat Band program did what they do best ? play their way to top scores by earning first division rating or ?ones? in UIL competition. But, this year has added a new milestone for one of the top 4A programs in the state, rolling the dice and getting 6. {{more: continue …}}

This is the first time that the high school had three different bands compete and each earned division I or superior scores in both concert and sightreading contest. In other words, this was not an A team, B team and C team performance. They all performed at a top level.

That was not all of the good news, according to Director of Bands, Erol Oktay, all five bands from KISD earned maximum scores. This included bands from both Kennedale High School and Kennedale Junior High. Add it all up and 5 (bands) x 2 (superior ratings for each) = 10 #Ones. Nice work by the students and their directors.?
