On Saturday, February 7th, the KHS Choir was represented by 14 students at this year?s annual Region UIL Solo & Ensemble competition with nine advancing to state competition. {{more}}
Three choir members received Excellent ratings on their solos:
Valerie Livar, Haylee Schofield and Brandon Triplett
Seven members received Superior (1) ratings on their solos:
Aubrey Ferguson, Brian Gomes, Tiffanny Haywood, Lane Hubenak, Kerrington Wade, Ma?Kayla Ward and Noah Wyckoff.
Four members scored high enough ratings on their solos to earn a trip to Austin to compete at the UIL State Choir competition later in the spring.
Alyssa Brannon, Victoria Buendia, Richard Bui and Katelynn Goss.
Also earning a trip to State was the nine member madrigal ensemble who also a received a Superior rating.

The Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest for 1A/2A/3A/4A (all
events) will be held Memorial Day weekend May 23 & 25, 2015
(Saturday/Monday) at Hendrickson High School in the Pflugerville ISD.
