Kennedale senior guard Jazmyn Poe has signed to play basketball with Texas A&M Commerce next year. {{more}}
In Poe?s sophomore year she was selected to the All-District 2nd team and to the Region 1 All-Tournament Team. She played in the UIL state finals as the Lady Kats finished 2nd in the state with a record of 31-7.Last year, Poe was 1st team All-District on a team that was 20-11 and district, bi-district and area champions plus a region qualifier.
She has averaged 20+ points so far this season on a team ranked as #9 in the current Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) poll with a 6-1 record.
Texas A&M Commerce has an enrollment of approximately 12,000 and is located in Commerce, Texas. The Lions play in the Lone Star Conference and are a NCAA Division II school.
