Kennedale senior Blake Bunnell represented himself and Kennedale High School well and proudly, winning a second place in the 500 free and third place in the 200 free at the State UIL Swimming & Diving Meet in Austin, Texas, February 20-21. {{more}}
Bunnell is a four year state qualifier at the UIL State Swimming and Diving Competitions.
At the state meet last year Blake finished 4th in the 500 freestyle. This year he finished 2nd with a time of 4:35.90 behind Samuel Kline of Frisco Wakeland (4:29.11).
In the 200 free last year, Bunnell finished 7th. This year he finished 3rd with a time of 1:42.53 behind 1st place finisher Samuel Kline, who set a state record time at 1:38.01.
