The UIL Best of Texas online practice contest is open to all Texas high school students. The contest consists of twelve subjects?Accounting, Biology, Calculator, Chemistry, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Current Issues & Events, Literary Criticism, Number Sense, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Spelling & Vocabulary.
It is done in three rounds for each of the subject areas starting in January and continues through March. There are plaques for the top schools and ribbons for Top Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior in each classification in each event.
In the overall 4A computer science competition, Kennedale had 4 students in the top 10 in Class 4A
