KHS Track sets state/school records finish 3rd in State overall

Completing a successful season, the KHS Lady Kats and Wildcats finished 3rd in 3A State Track and Field Competition in Austin, Saturday, May 11. In the process, they won the girls and boys 4×100 relays, setting school and state records. {{more}}

The girls 4×100 relay set state record and school record with a mark of 46.38 and 1st place.?Chianne?Lowe came away with three state medals, earning a silver medal in the 100m dash and another in the 4×200 along with the gold for being in the 4×100. The girls 4×200 relay won 2nd place.

The boys 4×100 relay set a new school record with a mark of 41.24 and 1st placed. Fred Scott finished 8th in the state in shot put. The 4×200 relay placed 3rd with a time of 1:26.51 which is also a new school record.
