Kennedale senior Kalyne Daniels, All-State (once), All-Region (twice) and an All-Distict player (thrice) during her career at Kennedale, signed a athletic scholarship to play basketball at Cowley College in Kansas this past week. {{more: continue …}}?For Kennedale this year, Kalyne averaged 20 points per game and 6.9 rebounds, helping the Lady Kats to a undefeated district championship and to the 2nd round of the 4A state playoffs.??
- In her senior year, Kalyne was selected as a Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) 4A All-Region player while the Star Telegram named her to the All-Area Second Team. She also was a 1st Team All-District selection.?
- In her junior year, Kalyne was selected as a Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-State player and was named to the 4A TGCA All-Star Team. She was also a TABC All-Region player and was a 1st Team All-Distict selection.?
- In her sophomore year, Kalyne earned All-District honors, being recognized as “Newcomer of the Year.”?
- In her last three years as a starter, Daniels has never played on a team that has lost a district game or a district title.

?Cowley has a strong JUCO athletic program with 8national championships, 92 region titles and 149 conference titles in its
sports programs. The Lady Cougars basketball team is used to winning and a
fixture in the JUCO playoffs. The last
four years the Cowley finished the season 24-8, 26-7, 24-9 and 27-8 playing in
the regionals in each of those years and winning the title in 2016.
