Hello, I?m Andrew Biscoe and I am asking for your vote for Kennedale ISD School Board, Place 5. {{more: continue …}}?
I have lived in the district for 21 years. I have a degree in Computer Science from Tyler Jr College, attended UTA and have a Bachelor?s degree in Information Systems from University of Phoenix. I?m currently working as a software tester for an auto finance company in Dallas.
?
I?m married with 2 kids, Morgan and Sydnee who were both 13-year seniors of KISD. My wife, Donna, has been a teacher at Delaney Elementary for 14 years.?
I have participated as a volunteer throughout the district. I was a board member and former president of the Kennedale Miniature Basketball Association (MBA). I have been a chaperone, Pit Dad and booster club member for the band. I also have been a member of the Lady Kat basketball booster club. In addition, I was also a member of the Grateful Dads club at the high school.

I have a passion to see kids succeed. Success to me is not always measured by the biggest or the strongest, neither wins or losses, but the one who makes the most of opportunities. I would like every student, no matter what level of income or ability, to have a chance to find that ‘thing’ that excites them and pushes them to grow. My greatest joy as a coach was to watch a child with special needs learn how to play basketball, and look forward to the games because she got to score. I?m not sure who got more joy from the experience, her, the team or me.
?
People have asked what is my campaign slogan and to them I say ?I?m not a politician. I?m just a parent?. The district is changing with new leadership, new visions and opportunities and I would like to assist with those changes. I don’t have all the answers, but I’m willing to listen and vote what I feel is best for the students of Kennedale ISD.

I would like to bring a different perspective and new ideas to the school board that will provide our kids with the tools needed to prepare themselves for the next chapter, no matter what their dreams.
