An open letter to all parents and students of KISD …?
?
Dear KISD Families,
?
During this unanticipated school closure, Kennedale ISD is committed to supporting our students and families as they continue on their learning pathways at home.? {{more: continue …}}
?
Through April 3rd KISD will provide a centralized source for digital resources, organized by content, for all core subject areas in grades PK-12 via our KISD

Learning@Home website linked here.

?
Paper-based option:?
?
We will also provide paper-based options for families who do not have access to digital devices at home.
?
These paper-based options may be picked up at one of two campus locations beginning next week. We?ve listed specific pick up details below for your convenience.
?
WHERE??
  • R. F. Patterson Elementary (6621 Kelly Elliott Arlington, Texas 76001) [All Grades PK-12]
  • Kennedale High School (901 Wildcat Way Kennedale, Texas 76060) [All Grades PK-12]?
These learning activities will be organized in boxes and color-coded by grade level. They can be picked up right inside the first set of entrance doors (RFP doors face Kelly Elliott; KHS doors face Wildcat Way) at the designated dates/times included below.
?

WHEN?

  • Monday, March 23rd
  • Wednesday, March 25th
  • Monday, March 30th

WHAT TIME?

  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
These instructional resources may also be downloaded and printed from our KISD

Learning@Home website via each grade-level page [at anytime].

?
These learning activities focus on reinforcing and enriching skills that students have previously learned, and they are designed to be fun and engaging. These are optional activities and will not be graded. However, we encourage students to spend as much time as they want on them over the next two weeks while our schools are closed.
?
As campus and district leaders work to make decisions that are in best interest of public health and in the best interest of students, staff, and families, we ask that you continue to extend patience and grace as we adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
?
Although we hope to return to normal operations after April 3rd, in the event that an extended closure becomes necessary, I will be sharing more information about our longer-term plan for providing learning opportunities for students and families at home.
?
Take care of yourselves; take care of your families. I will continue to keep you updated as we adjust to our operational reality during this crisis.
?

Kind regards,

Julie Vu, PhD
