2% increase for proposed budget …

On the agenda is a public hearing on the budget for 2016-17

and the tax rate needed to fund that budget.

The Board is proposing no change in the current tax rate but with higher property evaluations should see enough of an increase along with a small increase in

state funding to cover the cost of a 2% increase in proposed expenditures this

coming year.

The public meeting is one of the first items on the agenda. Later under new business the proposed budget

KISD considers a move to more local control …

 

Also on the agenda is a public hearing on a proposal to make Kennedale ISD a District of Innovation. This would provide a chance for KISD to move to more local control form of governance. Find out more KISD considering new state options for local control
