The following incidents report were recorded by the Kennedale

Police Department during the weeks of March 6 – 26. These reports are in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded. {{more:[read more]}}

03/08 ? Emotionally Disturbed Person ? 600 block of W. Kennedale Parkway. He was stopped and transported to JPS for a mental evaluation.

03/09 ? Missing Person (Juvenile) ? Corry A. Edwards Drive: At 8:46 p.m. officers responded to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile, a 13 year old female, left home after an argument with her mother. She was not located and a report was generated.

03/10 ? Burglary ? 300 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 8:30 a.m. an officer took a burglary report. Person(s) unknown pried open the lock front doors of a laundromat and attempted unsuccessfully to access the coin boxes of the machines.

03/10 ? Vehicle Burglary ? 6700 block of Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 4:29 p.m. officers responded to assist a constable on a traffic stop. On arrival, the vehicle operator stated that the truck he was stopped in had been damaged by three known suspects. The suspects cut the left front tire, causing it to blow out. The operator was stopped by the constable while driving the vehicle home. The suspects also removed cash and a cell phone from the vehicle when the damage occurred.

03/10 ? Possession of Controlled Substance ? Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 7:17 p.m. officers went to a residence to serve a felony parole violation warrant for Assault Bodily Injury on a Public Servant. During the arrest of the suspect, officers found methamphetamine on his person. He was transported to jail for booking and charged with both offenses.

03/11 ? Assault Bodily Injury ? 1300 block of Gilman Road: At 1:29 p.m. a victim reported to police that he was involved in a workplace violence incident the evening before. Another employee approached the victim and an altercation occurred in which the victim was ?head butted? by the suspect. Several other employees were involved in the incident as well. All were named in the report.

03/12 ? Theft Under $100 ? Danny Drive: At 3:46 p.m. a victim reported that the license plate for his utility trailer was stolen. The trailer was parked in his driveway at the time of the theft.

 
03/13 ? Medical Emergency ? S. New Hope Road: At 4:24 p.m. an officer responded to an investigation of an unconscious person in a residence. On arrival, a female was calling for help and the officer found the unresponsive 53 year old male on a couch. The male was not breathing and CPR was started immediately. The male began to breathe on his own as paramedics arrived. After appearing to awaken, the male once again lost consciousness. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

03/15 ? Hit and Run Accident ? 1200 block of E. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:01 p.m. an officer responded to a hit and run accident. A victim reported that his vehicle, a 1988 Ford Thunderbird, was struck by an irate customer. The customer had been in the business to pick up an item that was delayed in transit. When the customer became irate and left, the vehicle he was in accelerated quickly in reverse, striking the victim?s car. The suspect left with the victim trying to stop him in the parking area.

03/16 ? Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information ? Shady Creek Drive: At 5:35 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown suspect attempted to access her credit card information and change the address for the card. A purchase was also attempted without success. The company contacted the victim before any of the actions could be completed.

03/17 – Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information ? Arthur Drive: At 7:57 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown suspect had used her Social Security number to file a fraudulent tax return.

03/18 ? Assault Bodily Injury (Family Violence) ? At 4:04 a.m. an officer responded to an emergency room in Mansfield for an assault report. The victim, a 26 year old female, was being treated for injuries sustained in a domestic assault by her boyfriend. The suspect assaulted the victim during an argument they were having over an incident earlier in the evening. The victim refused to fill out a statement or to identify the boyfriend. A possible identification was obtained on the suspect from a previous report.

03/20 ? Burglary ? 6800 block of Oak Crest Drive East: At 10:50 a.m. a victim reported that person(s) unknown had broken into his shop during the overnight hours. A welder and extension cord were missing. The items were valued at $2,600.00. Entry was gained by breaking out a window in the front office door. The victim listed a former employee as a suspect.

03/21 ? Theft $100 to $750 ? 200 block of Pine Meadow Drive: At 3:28 p.m. a theft of a front door was reported to police. A rental property manager reported that a tenant moving out of a property intentionally removed the front door and took it with her. The offense was witnessed by another resident.

03/21 ? Theft $750 to $2,500 ? 1000 block of W. Kennedale Parkway: At 3:18 p.m. officers responded to a theft in progress call. A male and female were looking for parts in a salvage yard when the female placed $1,200.00 worth of items in a backpack and left the premises. The male, who was left at the scene, claimed no knowledge of the female?s intent to steal the items.

03/22 ? Incident ? 1000 block of Estates Drive: At 11:16 a.m. an officer responded to a report of unknown person(s) going through mail. The reporting person stated that three addresses in their subdivision had mail removed from mail boxes during the previous day. It was unknown if anything of value was stolen at the time of the report. A report has been made to the Post Office.

03/22 ? Criminal Mischief ? Mansfield Cardinal Road: At 11:15 a.m. officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence. Person(s) unknown had forced the back door open and entered the residence. Nothing appeared to be missing and damage to the door was estimated at $150.00.

03/24 ? Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle ? 500 block of Dick Price Road: At 9:27 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. As the officer approached the vehicle to contact the two occupants, dispatch advised that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Fort Worth. The occupants were removed from the vehicle and separated. The passenger stated that the vehicle was borrowed from a friend and gave the friend?s name. The driver was uncooperative with officers and denied knowing the vehicle was stolen. The driver was arrested for the unauthorized use of the vehicle and the passenger was arrested for multiple warrants. Both were transported to jail for booking. The vehicle owner was contacted about the vehicle?s recovery and location. It was impounded for safe keeping.

03/24 ? Criminal Mischief $750 to $2,500 ? S. Eden Road: At 10:08 a.m. a victim reported that a known suspect damaged her vehicle by purposely backing into it with another vehicle. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

03/24 ? Assault by Contact ? E. Kennedale Parkway: At 5:13 two victims reported to police that they have been inappropriately touched by the manager at their place of employment. The contact wass sexual in nature and unwanted by both victims. The suspect was identified to the officer.

03/25 ? Burglary ? W. Kennedale Parkway: At 2:57 p.m. a victim reported that a known suspect removed medication from the victim?s vehicle. The offense was observed on video.

03/25 ? Criminal Mischief $750 to $2,500 ? 500 block of S. Eden Road: At 9:37 p.m. a victim reported that possible known suspects poured sugar into the gas tank of her vehicle. The vehicle was at a repair shop getting inspected by a mechanic when the report was made.
