Officers Rufus Clark and Jamie Glock received their promotions at KPD headquarters in a small ceremony attended by fellow officers, friends and family.
 
Corporal Clark has been with KPD since 2007 and Corporal Clock has worked the last six years as a patrol officer for the department.

Corporal Rufus Clark entered into law enforcement in 1995 with the Kalkaska County Sheriff?s Department in Kalkaska, MI. as a Snow-Mobile Officer. He attended college at Central Michigan University as he served. In 1997, Corporal Clark moved to Texas and attended University of North Texas Criminal Law Enforcement Academy in 1997 and currently holds a Master?s Certification from the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement. From 1997 to 1998 he served the community of City of Krum Police Department. He moved to the University of North Texas Police Department as a patrolman, E.O.D K-9 Handler, S.W.A.T Officer, and Bike Patrol. During his time at UNTPD he earned several awards including the USPCA Texas State K9 champion. In 2007, Corporal Clark moved to the Kennedale Police Department. He started as a patrolman and then moved where he currently serves as a School Resource Officer. In 2017 he was promoted to Corporal and will serve the community in patrol.

 
Corporal Jamie Glock graduated college at Governors State University in University Park, Illinois. Major in Criminal Justice and currently attending UTA for her master?s degree in public administration. She also holds an Advanced Certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. She moved to Texas and started her career with the Kennedale Police Department. In January 2011, she attended the North Texas Regional Police Academy and graduated in July 2011. Corporal Glock has served as a patrolwoman for the last six years. In 2017 she was promoted to Corporal and will serve the community in patrol.
