Last week the Kennedale Police weekly Incident Report listed several cases of personal identification used to steal money from the victim.On Monday of last week (03/10), a victim reported to police that person(s) unknown had used her identifying information to open a bank account with Chase Bank. There were several outstanding checks on the account that were affecting the victim’s credit history. The checks were all written out of state and contained false personal information for the address and phone number. {{more}}
Then on Wednesday (3/12) another person reported that person(s) unknown had used her bank account and routing information to pass forged checks worth a total of $590.67. The victim had no idea how the suspect(s) obtained the information.
In other reports, a stolen vehicle was recovered, a traffic stop yielded illegal possession of a controlled substance (meth) along with numerous outstanding warrants and an individual was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.
