TEA 2020-2021 Principal Residency Grant ?
Kennedale Independent School District is one of 12 school districts to receive a special grant from the Texas Education Agency designed to developed the next group of school leaders from within KISD staff. {{more:? continue …}}
The grant, worth $350,000, teams Kennedale with the
University of Texas at Tyler. It will fund the hiring of five administrative
interns who will be assigned campuses in the school districts.
The program is part of?TEA Principal Residency Grant program.
Kennedale ISD staff who are interested and feel
that they may qualified are being encouraged to apply with the UT Tyler M.Ed.
Educational Administration Program and apply for KISD Administrative Intern position.
It will be a quick turnaround for those interested. Applications
are accepted until May 1. Accepted candidates are notified May 8 and classes start at
UT Tyler on May 11.
One of 41 schools …?Kennedale joins selected ISDs that include Dallas,
Denton, Garland, Grand Prairie, Greenville, Angleton, Lubbock, Lubbock-Cooper, San
Antonio, Socorro and Westwood.
There were41 schools district from across the state that were considered in this round of
grants from TEA. Some of the other schools included Austin, Abilene, Cypress-Fairbanks, Fort Worth, Harmony Schools, Houston, Irving, Richardson and Waxahachie.
