Kats tie Bastrop championship game The championship game was a tough match against Marble Falls. The Lady Kats found themselves down at the half 0-1. They came back strong in the 2nd half and a whopping shot over the goal keeper’s head by Allie Thornton (Soph) tied the game at 1-1.
The game would end in a tie and then went straight to penalty kicks. After the first 5 penalty kicks the game was still tied and another 5 players were selected in a sudden death shoot out.
Kennedale goal keeper, Skylar Crowley (Sr) stopped Marble Falls kick with a tremendous block. For Kennedale, the next to kick was Lindsay Irby, the only other senior on the team. A perfect kick from Lindsay to the left corner of the net put the Lady Kat team ahead and gave Kennedale the the Championship Trophy.

Skylar Crowley was awarded MVP. All Tournament awards were also given to Abby Key (Jr), Allie Thornton (Soph), Kylie Deel (Soph) and Alondra Almos (Fr).
The Lady Kats will face Waxahachie at home on Tuesday night 1/21/14 at 7pm.
