The Lady Kats, who were 31 -7 and second in the state last year, start their season tonight at home. ?
Kennedale will be playing Frisco High School, a 4A school that had a 1-23 record last year.?It is somewhat of a rebuilding year for the Kats, although, {{more}}Kennedale is still expected to the top contender for #1 in District 6-3A again this year. A title they won outright in 2012-13 with a 10-0 record.?New Coach Mindy Youngs said of this team, ?We graduated 6 seniors last year but we have several returning varsity players that played a huge part in us reaching the state tournament. We will rely on the experience those players have while also teaching the younger players how to play in big games. ?Everyone has to be ready to go when it?s their turn. We?re not very deep this year so everyone?s role is important.?

Next week on Tuesday night the Lady Kat will face a early challenge for 3A when they take on Argyle. ?The game will be play at Kennedale with varsity scheduled for 6:30 p.m.?
