The Kennedale Lady Kats volleyball team swept Castleberry last night in a bi-district game last night, (25-13, 25-12, 27-25). {{more}}
The Lady Kats will move on to Area play and will face the Abilene Wylie Lady Bulldogs Friday night at Jacksboro High School with game time of 5:30 p.m.
Wylie (19-8) was the winner of District 6-4A with an 8-0 record. The Lady Bulldogs will present the first challenge to the Lady Kats as they make a run for region.
Wylie was picked as a ?dark horse? in Region 1 by TGCA. Last year the Bulldogs made it to the Region 1 semis before losing to Big Springs in 5 sets (3-2) and they have been to the ?Big Match? in Austin in 2012 and winning.
But, #24 Kennedale (19-12) and Co-Champs of District 7-4A with a 7-1 record, has hit its stride. The Lady Kats have been picked as one of the ?teams to watch? in Region 1 by TGCA. TGCA Poll
