The Kennedale Police Department reported the following incidents for the one week period February 01, 2020 through February 08, 2020. {{more: continue …}}

These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, have been deemed unfounded.

KPD Incident Reports: 02/01/20 ? 02/08/20?

2/1 ? Abandoned/ Found Property?Municipal Drive:??At 1:16 p.m. a citizen turned in two bicycles and a cell phone that were found abandoned. The property was turned over to the officer to be placed in property for safekeeping.

2/1 ? Drug Equipment Violation?S. Dick Price Road:?At 7:03 p.m. an officer was investigating an accident when an uninvolved male arrived at the scene and began to pick up debris. The male identified himself as the brother of one of the drivers in the accident. The male was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.

2/1 ? Burglary of Vehicle?Corry A. Edwards Drive:??At 5:23 p.m. a school district employee discovered two vehicles had been burglarized while parked. The vehicles belonged to bus drivers who were on their routes.

2/1 ? Burglary of Vehicle?Corry A. Edwards Drive:??This is the second report for one of the two vehicles in the previous report.

2/3 ? Burglary?Woodland Court:??At 7:52 a.m. a female victim reported that she was assaulted by a male suspect. The victim and suspect share two children. The suspect assaulted the victim during the course of picking up a child and then left the scene before officers arrived.

2/3 ? Possession of Child Pornography:??At 9:05 a.m. a school resource officer was notified of a possible offense. A Crime Stoppers tip reported that two students, a male and female, had engaged in sexual contact outside of school. The male is reported to have filmed several of the pair?s sexual encounters without the female?s consent.

2/3 ? Missing Person (Juvenile)?Mountain View Lane:??At 10:45 an officer received a report of a missing juvenile.

2/3 ? Abandoned/Found Property?Pine Meadow Drive:??At 3:21 p.m. officers responded to a burglary in progress. It was determined that the residents were moving out and no offense was occurring. One of the persons present had arrest warrants from other agencies. He was arrested and transported to jail for booking. It was later discovered that the male had dropped an item from his pocket while in the rear seat of the patrol vehicle. It was placed in property until the item could be returned.

2/2 ? Incident (Other):??At 9:21 p.m. officers responded to a welfare check for possible child neglect. After investigating the report the children did not appear in immediate danger. CPS was notified of the visit.

2/3 ? Death Investigation?Kennedale New Hope Road:??At 3:50 p.m. officers responded to a death investigation. A female homeowner who lives alone was found deceased in the residence by a cleaning service employee. The female appeared to have died from a fall. The Medical Examiner?s office responded to transport the deceased female.

2/4 ? Burglary?Woodland Court:??At 4:27 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown person forced entry into his home and removed several items of value.

2/4 ? Incident (Other)?US 287:??At 4:35 a.m. officers responded to a request from the Walmart at Little Road and U.S. 287. The manager advised that a customer was attempting to purchase a large amount of items and that it was a possible theft attempt. The suspects did not have the funds to purchase the items and left the store. The officers stopped the vehicle for traffic violations. A male and a female were in the vehicle. They were discovered to be in possession of multiple items of identification including W-2 forms and driver?s licenses, all in different names. The male had an arrest warrant out of Fort Worth for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. He was placed under arrest and transported to jail for booking. The female is on probation for a federal organized criminal activity charge. The case is still under investigation.

2/3 ? Theft $750 to $2,500?Tealpond Drive:??At 10:43 a.m. a victim reported to police that his wallet was stolen. The victim was able to name a suspect.

2/5 ? Assault by Contact?W. Kennedale Parkway:??At 5:41 p.m. an officer responded to an assault complaint. A customer/victim stated that a business employee threw a soft drink at the victim and his wife while they were inside their vehicle. The employee admitted to the act, stating that it was part of a dispute over an order that was placed and changed. The suspect was cited for the assault and released.

2/3 ? Drug Equipment Violations?W. Kennedale Parkway:??At 1:15 p.m. an officer responded to an intoxicated person at a business. The suspect, a female, was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for transport to jail. The suspect was also in possession of a glass pipe and needles. She was charged with the paraphernalia as well.

2/5 ? Incident (Other) Wildcat Way:??At 2:00 p.m. a school resource officer was informed of a missing money bag. The bag was missing from a desk in the office.

2/6 ? Assault (Bodily Injury)?W. Kennedale Parkway:??At 7:55 a.m. a school resource officer was notified of a possible assault on a faculty member by a student. The staff member was assaulted by the juvenile student while in the lunch room. The student was causing a disturbance and the staff member was attempting to deescalate the situation.

2/7 ? Assault Family Violence (Impede Breath/Circulation)?Mansfield Cardinal Road:??At 11:49 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A male and female were present at the scene when officers arrived. The female reported that they had been arguing when the male became agitated and physically assaulted her, impeding her breathing. After investigating further the officers determined that the male was the primary aggressor. He was placed under arrest for the assault and transported to jail for booking.

2/8 ? Theft by Deception?W. Kennedale Parkway:??At 12:02 p.m. an officer received a report of a theft by deception. A male and female were approached by an unknown male who wanted to sell them three new smartphones. After the money was exchanged and the suspect was gone, the couple determined that the phones were fake and inoperable.

2/4 ? Burglary?E. Kennedale Parkway:??At 11:22 p.m. a victim reported a burglary of a storage unit. Several items were taken.
?
