The Kennedale Police Department reported the following 12 incidents for the one week period July 28, 2019 through August 3, 2019. The reports included theft, DWI, vehicle burglary, criminal mischief, missing person, theft of material, possession and found personal property. {{more: continue ?}}These reports and others were in addition to on-going investigations. These do not include calls where no report was written. Some of the offenses, after further investigation, may have been deemed unfounded.7/28 ? Driving While Intoxicated – Mansfield Highway … At 5:08 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for driving erratically. The white pickup truck was being operated by a female who had the appearance of being under the influence. The female was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment. She was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to jail for booking. The officer also found a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.7/28 ? Driving While Intoxicated – N. Little School Road ? At 11:23 p.m. officers responded to an accident in a traffic roundabout. A red Buick was observed in the roadway with front end damage and a flat tire. The adult male driver reported that he had struck a curb. The driver was unable to successfully complete a field sobriety assessment and was placed under arrest. The suspect was handcuffed but refused to get into the rear seat of the patrol vehicle. He continued to resist until more backup officers arrived. He was transported to jail for booking. A warrant was obtained to draw a blood sample.?7/29 ? Criminal Mischief – S. New Hope Road ? At 8:05 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had cut his fence and allowed his cattle to escape.7/29 ? Abandoned/Found Property – Valley Lane ? At 6:55 p.m. an officer responded to a report of an abandoned backpack. The item was found sitting next to the road and contained personal items. There was nothing inside to indicate an owner. The backpack was placed into property and evidence until an owner can be located.7/29 ? Missing Person (Juvenile) – Bowman Springs Road ? At 10:32 p.m. an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by an adult male who was attempting to locate his 15-year-old step-son, who had left home the day before and not returned. The father reported that he had information that the missing juvenile was at the residence on Bowman Springs Road. Upon contacting the resident, it was discovered that the runaway had been there the day before and asked the resident to give him a ride home. The runaway told the resident that he could not reach his mother. The runaway had the resident take him to a location in west Fort Worth, which is not where he lives. The missing juvenile has not been seen since. The father stated that the teen did not know anyone at the location he was taken to.7/31 ? Possession Drug Paraphernalia – North Road ? At 4:13 p.m. an officer responded to a suspicious person at a business. The suspicious male had been standing in the lobby of the business for some time and then went to sit in his vehicle out front. Upon being contacted by the officer, the male stated that he was looking for a job and that he had just been to court for possession of a controlled substance. Dispatch advised that the male had multiple arrest warrants issued for his arrest. The male was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to jail for booking.8/01 ? Burglary of Vehicle – North Road … At 7:00 a.m. an officer responded to a vehicle burglary and theft report. A victim reported that suspects had entered the property and forced open a van used for storage. Nothing appeared to be missing from the van at the time of the report. Also missing were a number of copper coils kept in the storage yard area. Video security was available and captured the theft.8/01 ? Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info – S. Dick Price Road ? At 4:10 p.m. a female victim reported that an unknown person had made two charged withdrawals from a joint bank account with her husband. The account has been closed.8/02 ? Criminal Mischief $100 to $750 – Kennedale Sublett Road … At 8:05 a.m. a victim reported that unknown person(s) had vandalized some heavy equipment left at a construction site.8/02 ? Violation of Protective Order? … At 8:40 a.m. a victim reported that her estranged husband had violated a protective order by coming to her home. The couple is in the process of getting a divorce. The suspect was not on scene at the time of the report.8/02 ? Recovery Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency) – Glenbrook Drive … At 3:28 p.m. an officer responded to an abandoned vehicle report. Dispatch advised that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Dallas. The vehicle was impounded to be held for the owner.8/02 ? Theft of Materials ALUM/BRNZ/COPPER/BRASS – W. Kennedale Parkway … At 12:02 p.m. a victim reposted that a male suspect had entered the business property and removed tools.
