KPD tips to make the first day a success …

Pay extra attention in school zones and parking lots. Sometimes our little Wildcats have been spotted darting between cars.
  • You can’t use your cell phone in an active school zone.
  • Do not park your vehicle in a handicapped space if you do not have handicapped plates or a properly displayed placard. Never park in a fire lane.
  • Remember that the curb nearest to Delaney Elementary on Cloverlane Drive is a No Parking Zone during school hours.
  • Watch for and obey the Delaney crosswalk guard. He is there to protect your children.
  • Remember that Mistletoe Drive between in front of Arthur is one way from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 to 3:45 p.m.
  • Give yourself some extra time during the first week. We have a lot of schools in a small area, which means traffic can be quite congested for the first few days, but it usually improves by the second week.
  • Consider going on a trial run the weekend before to decide which route works the best for your family.
School hours are …
