These awards were presented to individuals who were nominated for putting service before self?a motto the Rotary Club celebrates daily, according to Club President Lamar Saxon.
KISD had 5 recipients this semester. The honorees were Charity Simmons from James F. Delaney Elementary, Kim Hamblin from R. F. Patterson Elementary, Sandy Yokely from James A. Arthur Intermediate, Charlie Hammonds from Kennedale Junior High School and Daniel Soliz from Kennedale High School.
Each of the recipients was awarded with a certificate and a gift card from the Kennedale Rotary Club.This is the first year for this type of award presented by the Rotary Club.The Kennedale Rotary Club meets each Tuesday at No Frills Grill, 4914 Little Road, Arlington, 76016.
