Legacy ends the season at 19-8 after having finished third in District 14-5A.
The season was a test each week for the Lady Broncos, whose youth was only honed for a likely more productive season next year.
?We?re young and have no seniors, but just a few players with any playoff experience from their freshman year,? Legacy head coach Amie Prater said at the start of the playoff season.
Now, there can be nothing but excitement in the Legacy softball camp once the disappointment of the loss settles.
Legacy should contend for a district title and give Ennis and Timberview a run for their money.

Prater grew up playing softball, attending school in Kennedale and graduating in 1999 from Kennedale High School. She was a junior, playing as the starting catcher, when Kennedale won its first state title in any sport in 1998 in softball.After graduating from Tarleton State, she came back to teach at Kennedale High School and coach softball. She taught World History and AP World History while taking the LadyKats into the playoffs each year, twice reaching the quarterfinals and twice the region finals.
