Scoreless at halftime, Kennedale scored in the 45th minute. With one of the Wildcats? six corner kicks, striker Abigail Key found forward Abigail Olmos, whose header gently bounced into the lower right corner of the net from 15 yards.

?We told the girls we could care less who scores. As long as we win, that?s all that matters,? Wildcats coach Michael Strange said.

Just five minutes later, the Wildcats scored again when senior midfielder Allie Thornton got the ball to Lauren Otts, and Otts drilled a shot into the top corner from 25 yards.

The Eagles (12-10) couldn?t find much offense until senior Madison Lee scored from 30 yards to get Argyle within one in the 60th minute. She had one final chance for the tie, but her shot from about 20 yards was wide left with a few seconds remaining.

?Argyle had a good push, Lee had a great goal in the second half. We haven?t had much pressure put on us, but it?s the playoffs ? everything is amplified,? Strange said.

Kennedale owned the possession battle, especially in the first half, having a 10-0 shots advantage. The Wildcats would finish with 25 shots, 15 on goal, to the Eagles? four.
