Methodology: To figure out which places near Fort Worth were the best places to live, information was collected from the U.S. Census, local business listings, and AreaVibes to determine the following:
  • Amenities per capita (the total number of business listings divided by population
  • Standard of living (cost of living, median home value, median rent, median household income, and high school graduation rate)
  • Total crimes per 100k
  • Unemployment rate
  • Average commute time

After collecting data for these categories, cities were ranked as scores were averaged. The places with the lowest overall scores made the list of the best places to live near Fort Worth.
