That singular honor goes to Kennedale offensive lineman, Andrew Flanagan. A senior this year, Flanagan comes in at 5?11?? and 290 pounds.?
While he is considered undersized for the ?big schools,? according to his coaches, he has the skills sets that make him unique and warrants the honor that he has received.?

Head Coach Richard Barrett said, ?There is a lot of good things that I could say about him.? Barrett described Flanagan as ?very smart? and that included the classroom as well as the field. He is a ?very intense player? and a ?student of the game.? Barrett said that he studies his opponent and is very detailed, “leaving no stone unturned.”?
Coach Paul Trantham calls him a very intelligent player and says that his ?coachability was off the charts.? Line Coach Derek Lopez said the he [Andrew] was harder on himself than his coaches could ever be. Lopez also spoke of his leadership.

Flanagan?s 4 year all-state run coincides with Kennedale best four years in Kennedale?s football history. This year Kennedale established a new single season win record at 14-2 and made the state finals for the time ever. His freshman and sophomore years, Kennedale did not lose a single regular season game. And in his four years at Kennedale, the Wildcats have gone undefeated in district play and have a overall four record of 49 wins against 8 losses.

Flanagan, who was just this week named an All-State Academic Athlete, wants to continue playing. He has offers by both Colorado State and Jacksonville University in Florida.??
