Aundre Jackson, a 2014 KHS graduate, returns to his home state this coming week, playing for the Cinderella team of the NCAA, Loyola University of Chicago and to play in the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas.

For Loyola, it has been 55 years ago (1963) that they were in the Final Four. Actually, that was Loyola only time until now and that ’63 team went on to win it all.?

As a sixth man, Jackson had limited playing time in the Kansas State game as Loyola led almost the whole game. They were up by 11 at halftime and at one point up by 23 points. Aundre finished with 2 rebounds and 6 points for the game.?
However, in the other games, his skills were needed and used extensively. In the Miami game, he played 17 minutes with 12 points and 1 rebound. In the Tennessee game, he played 22 minutes, had 4 rebounds and 16 points. In the Nevada game, Jackson played 22 minutes with 4 rebounds and 15 points.?

Kennedale was been identified by name in each of those games although most often as a small town outside of Dallas.? But it is a rare thing to hear that Kennedale been mentioned in the national media. Jackson played for KHS Head Basketball Coach Doug Groff.
