Saturday was a great day for fishing and there was a good turnout. Kidfish is an annual event for the city and it is aimed at the ?kids? in the community but those actually come in all sizes. Sonora Park pond is restocked by the Texas Fish Hatchery annually. Winners on Saturday were:?

Fishing is just part of the activities available at Sonora park. Activities include walking trail and nature trails, a splash park, playground, picnic areas and a 9-hole disc golf course. There is no charge for park usage. The park is open from 6 am to 10 p.m. 7 days a week.?As the city?s largest park this area is an active hub for sports and recreation, including the?Kennedale Ballfields, a?water splash pad,?9-hole disk golf course, horseshoe pits, and playground equipment for the kids.
