The Kennedale Lady Kats continued their march through the UIL playoffs with their 7-0 victory over Fort Worth Trimble Tech last night at Wildcat Stadium.
The Lady Kats have now reached round three of the 4A UIL playoffs (Sectionals), {{more}}a giddy height for the Kennedale soccer program. This means that there are 64 teams left in Texas 4A still in the playoffs. In this area, there are no true 3A teams left besides Kennedale.
In this, their final season playing ?up?, the girls program is leaving their mark. Next year Kennedale will be on a level playing field when it competes with similar size school districts in the reorganized class 4A. The UIL has added a sixth classification and has moved up schools one notch. Class 3A Kennedale will be playing in 4A but only with other formerly 3A teams. The true 4A teams will be moved up to 5A for 2014-15.

In an early season match, Lake Ridge bested the Lady Kats 3-0. It will be the perfect time to pay it back.
