Lady Kats go down fighting in loss to Decatur

The Kennedale Lady Kats (17-12) traveled to the home of the two time defending state champions, Decatur Lady Eagles last Friday night and came away with a 3-1 loss, but, not without a fight. {{more}}

After losing the first two sets by a combined 11 points, the Kats came back to the take the third by three and losing the final set (and match) by two. Set 1: 21-25, Set 2: 18-25, Set 3: 25-22, Set 4: 23-25

The Kennedale Junior Varsity team did come home with a victory.

After the loss, the Kennedale Lady Kats remains in the MaxPreps Top Twenty in Class 4A but they did drop two places to #16 with Decatur moving ahead of Kennedale.

The Lady Kats will host 4A Springtown (12-10) in a non-conference match Tuesday night at Kennedale High School with the varsity playing at 6 p.m. Friday Kennedale will play a non-district match against 4A Castleberry at Castleberry with the varsity game scheduled for 6 p.m.
