The Kennedale High School basketball programs have finished regular season play. Both the girls and boys varsity programs have won a district title.? Update Lady Kat Basketball ? UIL playoffs ??The Lady Kats have already played their first playoff game.? In bi-district playoff action Monday night, the Kennedale Lady Kats easily defeated the fourth seed out of District 10/4A Dallas North Hills Uplift Academy, 94-5. ?The Lady Kats have earned a playoff spot for the 19th time in the same amount of years. And,for the second year in a row, the Lady Kats faced and defeated North Hills Uplift in bi-district play and will once again face the Dallas Pinkston Lady Vikings in the area round. - The Dallas Pinkston Lady Vikings are 26-5, 11-1 and ranked #15 by TABC. As their record indicates this is a huge test for the Kennedale, as it was last year.?
- Pinkston lost their first district game to Dallas Lincoln back on December 19 by a score of 57-54. After that, it was a sweep of District 12/4A including a return match with Lincoln which the Lady Vikings won 69-64.?
- The Lady Vikings defeated Sanger 58-37 in first round tournament play on Monday. Sanger (19-14, 6-4) was the 3rd place team out of district 11/4A.?
- In the last 14 regular season games, Pinkston has average 77.5 while limiting opponents to a 29.5 average per game. Last year they finished the season at 25-9 and went 3-deep in the UIL playoffs before losing to Melissa.?

Wildcat Basketball Update ?
?The Kennedale Wildcat basketball team has finished the regular season at 25-8 after going 11-1 in district play. The Wildcats earned their second consecutive co-championship with Dunbar. ?Last week, the Wildcats travelled to Castleberry to defeat the Lions 72-58.? The Cats then hosted Western Hills on Senior Night this past Tuesday, winning the game 75-50.?Kennedale now plays Dunbar in a one-game playoff to decide 1st and 2nd seed for the UIL playoffs which begin next week. - The Lions won Q1 23-19 while Kennedale won Q2 24-11 and were able to take a 43-34 into halftime. The Cats kept the lead in Q3 by a score of 56-42 before finishing with the winning score of 72-58.?

Game Update vs Western Hills …?
- Western Hills led very briefly at the beginning of this game at 2-0 and managed to tie the game several times during the first period but the Cats were on top at the end of Q1 at 13-8. The Wildcats expanded their lead with a 22-9 run to take a 35-17 into halftime.?
- Western Hills was never able to recover. After three, it was the Cats on top 57-35 and Kennedale went on to win 75-50 and earn another district championship, sharing the title with Dunbar.?
