The 2018 KennedaleLady Kats volleyball team, which finished as the undefeated champs of District
9-4A at 12-0 and with an overall record of 26-17, earned 12 all district nods for individual

This wasthe team to watch this year because of all the young talent that came on
board. Kennedale won its 5th
straight district title this year and extended its playoff string to 12. The
2018 Lady Kats became the just the third team from Kennedale High School to
advance to the state regional quarterfinals.
All-district
honors ?
Winning
special recognition were sophomore Bryley Steinhilber as All-District Most
Valuable Hitter, freshman Maddie Pyles as the District 9-4A Newcomer of the Year and first year Head Coach Kelly Carl as All-District Coach of the Year.
Earning 1stteam slots were senior Grace Guadagnolo, junior Lillian Rychlik and sophomore
Tatum Pavey. For Guadagnolo this is her fourth year for 1st team or
better all-district honors. Rychlik as a junior has earned three consecutive all-district
honors. Bryley Steinhilber was Newcomer of the Year last year as a freshman.?
Second Teamhonors went to freshman Bridget Barton. Named Honorable Mention were sophomore Katie
Spell, senior Kendall Daniel and freshman Gracyn Reed. Both Spell and Daniel
won All-district honors last year.?

Eleven LadyKats earned All-Academic honors. They Katie Groff (Sr), Lilly Rychlik (Jr) 3x, Gracyn
Reed (Fr), Tatum Pavey (So), Grace Guadagnolo (Sr) 3x, Bryley Steinhilber (So) 2x,
Angel Mahjoub (So) 2x, Kyndall Daniel (Sr) 2x, Taylor Poore (Fr), Katie Spell (So)
2x and Maddie Pyles (Fr).?

Kennedale
ended the season ranked #20 in Class 4A by MaxPreps. This bodes well for the
2019 season.
