The Kennedale Lady Kats placed 10 players on the 7-4A All-District team, taking top honors as MVP, Hitter, Setter, Blocker and Server plus two slots on 1st Team and three on 2nd Team, as well as, District 7-4A Coach of the Year. {{more}}
Kennedale, who placed as high as #7 in the TGCA state 4A polls, ended the season at 30-14 and a 10-0 district record, sweeping district play and earning their second consecutive district title (co-champions in 2014).
Earning the MVP for District 7-4A was Lady Kat Kendall Vondra (Sr) who was All-District Setter in 2014. Other Lady Kats winning 2015 honors were Maggie Pyles (Sr) ? Hitter (2014 ? Hitter); Kylie Foster (Sr) ? Setter (2014 ? 2nd Team); Raeley Crosley (So) ? Blocker (2014 ? 1st Team); Jodie Dixon (Jr) ? Server; Bethany Klingenberg (Jr) ? 1st Team (2014 ? 2nd Team); Ranaja Taylor (Jr) ? 1st Team; Darby Smith (Sr) ? 2nd Team (2014 ? 1st Team); Grace Guadagnolo (Fr) ? 2nd Team; and, Emma Riffe (Jr) ? 2nd Team.
Jennifer Patterson, 7-4A Coach of the Year
Head Coach Jennifer Patterson, in her second year as KHS volleyball coach, was selected for All-district coaching honors. In her two years, the Lady Kats have gone 49-28 and 17-1 in district play. The Lady Kats have won two district title and have earned top 25 ranking (#24 in 2014 and #7 in 2015). The Kats have also captured two bi-district titles.
