A two-run single by Ciara Trotter, a two-run double by Carson Whatley, an RBI single by Maegan Garza, an RBI triple by Rebekah Abair, an RBI double by Alexa Neifert, an RBI single by Aubrey Wooden, a three-run triple by Alicia Lopez, and an RBI single by Carson in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Jazlyn Crowder during the second inning fueled Kennedale’s offense early.
Alicia racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lady Kats.
Kennedale’s Elizabeth Schiele kept Vernon off the scoreboard for all five innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out five.
