Snyder finished third in District 5/4A at 14-17, 4-4 in a very strong district, losing to Abilene Wylie (23-6, 8-0) and Brownwood (29-5, 6-2). Last week, they pulled out a win in what some saw as an upset of WF Hirschi with a buzzer beater 57-55.
?
Snyder has bounced back from a disastrous season last year after just winning a single game the whole season. In fact it has been quite a drought for the Lady Tigers. The last time they made the playoffs was 2010-11, eight year ago when they went 2 deep.
?
Kennedale and Snyder had only one common opponent this year with both teams losing to Lubbock Cooper earlier in the tournament season. 5A Cooper is currently 30-3, 10-0.
?
Kennedale is the favorite but Snyder will be running on emotion tonight, gunning for the upset win.?Playoff notes …??Kennedale is the only team out of District 7-4A to survive last week’s bi-district round.?
?
Games of interest this weekend: Wylie (23-6) vs Midlothian Heritage (28-6) and Glen Rose (31-1) vs Brownwood (29-5).
