The Kennedale Lady Soccer team have started their season on a good note with a second place finish in their LadyKat Regional Cup tournament and a 3-0-1 record. {{more: continue …}}

It was Midlothian Heritage who secured the trophy with a perfect 4-0 record while keeping their home net clean throughout the tournament. Kennedale also didn?t allow any ball to cross over but had their record blemished by a 0-0 tie with Stephenville on the final day of play.?

Overall Heritage outscored their opponents 20-0 while Kennedale outscored the opposition 15-0. Third place finisher Brownwood went 12-1 in scoring. Stephenville was 16-1 and Mineral Wells went 9-3.

Four of the best teams had games settled by either a single goal or none at all. Midlothian Heritage beat Stephenville 1-0 while Kennedale played Stephenville to a 0-0 tie. Brownwood didn?t play Heritage nor Stephenville but lost to Kennedale 1-0.?

Finishing in first, second and third place were Heritage, Kennedale and Brownwood in that order. Expect to see these three do well in the playoffs in the postseason along with Stephenville and Mineral Wells.?

Mansfield (1-1) is coming off a 10-0 win over 6A Lakeview Centennial (0-3-1).??In fact, Kennedale’s schedule will be grueling for the next month from playing in the Boerne tournament with 4A Boerne, 5A Champion, 4A Salado and 6A San Antonio MacArthur followed by 6A Irving MacArthur, 5A Wichita Falls Rider, 5A Chisholm Trail and then 4A powers Melissa, Stephenville and Midlothian Heritage.?
