Lana Marthell (McDaniel) Bratton, 67, returned to her heavenly home on September 6, 2018 after a valiant battle with Ovarian Cancer. {{more: continue …}}?Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.?
Lana was born on March 19, 1951 in San Saba, Texas, to Katie Jo Simmons. Lana was the loving wife of Julius Bratton for 48 years. She is survived by her mother, Katie Jo Simmons; husband, Julius Bratton; daughter, Melissa Bratton Gonzales; son, Julius Lee Bratton II; brother, Steve McDaniel; sisters, Kathy Hencke, LaDonna McDaniel, and LeeAnn Myers; and grandchildren, Blake Prestridge, Kaley Bratton, Madison Prestridge, Allison Bratton, Ravyn Gonzales, and Mayah Gonzales.?

Note: Lana was a former employee of KISD. Her daughter Melissa Bratton Gonzales is a 1989 KHS graduate and her son Julius Bratton is a 1990 KHS graduate.
